This project comes under the category of building – electromechanical projects and concerns the construction of buildings required to modernize the Athens Meat Market, including the gradual demolition of existing buildings and landscaping the surrounding area. The project was carried out on a 58,600.00m2 triangular plot of land, which is part of the plot housing the Central Athens Meat Market.

The object of the project in brief was to carry out the following work:

•Demolition of all existing buildings.

•Construction of two separate building complexes with composite slab mezzanine, metal-framed roof and lined with panels.

•Construction of support building (engine-rooms, substation for the installation of mechanical equipment).

•Construction of smaller auxiliary buildings (porter’s lodge and shelter forming the entrance - exit, and a sewage treatment plant in a ground-floor building with basement section).

•Required landscaping of surrounding area for access, loading – unloading at building complexes, parking, areas of greenery and the general arrangement of the Athens Meat Market.
