This project concerned the construction of a prestressed overpass road bridge with a carriageway 422.00 metres long and 13.54 metres wide, at the intersection of the new double high-speed railway line, the Tithorea – Lianokladi section, with the old National Road. The carriageway of the bridge is constructed with two horizontally aligned opposing curves, along a slope of 5.50% on ascent and descent. The total length of the technical project with the link to the old Athens – Lamia National road (PEO) is 920.00m. The project also includes the construction of a total of seven (7) temporary detours from the Vertical Road to safeguard traffic during project construction, small technicalities and the construction of an adjoining road, 1,192.07m in length, to connect the old national road with neighbouring areas. The project is part of the renovation of the Athens – Thessaloniki Rail Network (3rd phase) and was carried out by ERGOSE.
