A road maintenance project concerning the shoring up of slopes along the Stavros – Lavrio National Road due to extensive landslides, at the detour to Keratea at intersection T3, in order to ensure the safe movement of vehicles on the National Road and the protection of the SR. In Keratea, before and after the bridges at intersection T3 in both directions, a series of bored columns were constructed. In front of the bored columns and at the foot of the slope, foot walls were built, in accordance with the case study. Before and after the bored columns shoring walls were built. On the auxiliary SR road, a triangular stormwater runoff ditch was constructed, and the road surface and the safety barrier were replaced.

In addition to this, the following work was carried out at Lavrio:

•The full implementation and maintenance of worksite signs for traffic from the Thoriko intersection up to the DEI junction.

•The construction of a double depressed pipe and DEI underpass below that at KM 1+050 from the Thoriko intersection, so as cover the open ditch in the above position.

•The reshaping of the river bed downstream from the constructed slab covered pipeline at KM 0+800 in section ΙΙΙ (from the French Warehouses to the Port of Lavrio), in order to deal with floods.
