The project concerns traffic improvements on the Vari – Koropi Road along a length of 7,000.00m, the construction of a central box-type rainwater catchment drain with a length of 5,000.00m serving the greater area, and a hydraulic tunnel 340.00m in length with a diameter of 3.50m. At the same time technical support projects were constructed using bored columns, micropiles, sprayed concrete and prestressed cable anchors. Public Utilities networks were also moved; new water, irrigation and lighting supplies made and reconstruction took place of the adjoining road network. Construction included 538,000 m3 of excavations, 215,000.00 m3 of rockfill, 570,000.00 m2 of road surfacing, 327,000.00 m2 of asphalt and 27,000.00 m2 of concrete.
