The contractual objective of this contract work included the construction of E/M installations in the tunnels (cut & cover) in the section Lipasmata – Customs Intersection on the coastal road axis linking Piraeus – Drapetsona – Keratsini and the building and E/M installations in the main substation and control centre. There are two tunnels: uphill section and downhill section. The downhill exit includes an additional exit branch towards Kontopoulou Street, one-way with two traffic lanes. The tunnels’ installations include lighting, ventilation, communications and traffic control, fire safety, supervision and control, two hydraulic emergency lifts and installations for the two escape routes.
